WALKING TOUR
Walking Tours for Teams
Whether it's a team building event, a company trip or simply free time with a group of colleagues or friends - our guided city tours are a perfect opportunity to explore the city, spend quality time together and have lots of interaction in each group.
When you and your colleagues are visiting the city, typical guided city tours are sometimes more, sometimes less suitable for companies and team trips, depending on how the city guide adapts to his audience. However, one challenge remains: In essence, classic city tours are consumed passively by the group and are not very interactive.
Furthermore, a fixed time frame and schedule offers little room and flexibility for individual interests in a classic walking tour. The whole group follows the fixed schedule.
Peryscope gets rid of all these pain points by offering interactive svavenger hunts on the smartphone, which allow groups of colleagues or teams to explore the city independently with a modern, digital approach.
Peryscope walking tours are interactive scavenger hunts on the smartphone: Small groups explore the city as teams on their own. Within the framework of an exciting story, each team is challenges with questions and puzzles to play their way through the city.
Peryscope walking tours are enriched with numerous media in the form of voice messages, pictures and videos that enrich the gameplay and convey background information and city history.
Larger groups of colleagues are divided into teams of up to 4 persons, who then play together. The tasks and riddles of the city rally can only be solved as a group - thus strengthening the team spirit. A competition is also easily possible: with statistics on the duration of the tour and the number of clues needed, a winning team can be chosen at the end.
In case you are a very large group, don't worry: Peryscope has successfully hosted tours with up to 100 persons. Just delay the start between groups a little bit, so that not all the groups are in one spot at the same time and you're all set! As each group plays the walking tour individually, it is even more relaxed than maneuvering large groups of people through the city.

FAQ for team events
In general, there is no limit. Smaller teams of 20 as well as whole departments of 80 colleagues have been playing our tours before.
The colleagues should be split in teams of up to 4. To allow for the best experience, it is helpful if there's a small delay between the teams starting. This should be kept in mind when planning the day.
Yes, all our tours require a lot of interaction within the team in order to arrive at the right conclusions and make it to the next stop of the tour. A team that would work silently side by side on a typical guided walking tour will chat, discuss and share lots of observations during our walking tours to make their way through the city.
It varies with the walking tour, but in general the tours take 2-3 hours, depending on how swiftly the players move through the tour.
It's modern, it's interactive, and it's a game! Big groups are split up in smaller teams, which makes it easier for colleagues to interact and engage. Furthermore, there are no challenges of maneuvering a large body of people through the city. If one of the teams fancies a coffee break - done! It doesn't get more flexible than this.
Absolutely! Our walking tours are fun and even locals will discover and learn something new. And ultimately, it is also very much about the social experience together with others.
